We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and organized individual to fill the position of CES Vehicle Safety Program Coordinator .
This full-time, diverse position is located in Calgary, Alberta and has many detail-oriented duties to challenge the right candidate.
This position reports directly to the Manager, HSE Site Services and will support the Canadian Energy Services and PureChem Services divisions.
The main focus of this position is to implement and manage a vehicle safety program company-wide. A company truck will be provided to support frequent travel to facility locations.
Overtime and on-call will be required at times.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Overall vehicle safety program for a fleet of 450 vehicles, 100 of which are medium or heavy-duty.
- Support vehicle incident investigations.
- Insurance renewal support.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) support.
- IFTA management (International Fuel Tax Agreement).
- Oversee Commercial Vehicle Coordinator.
Vehicle Telematics
- Oversee the installation and system maintenance for vehicle telematics and electronic logging device (ELD) systems.
- Manage users, geofences, tags, basemaps, system settings, and new features.
- Provide support for managers to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate driver tablets and apps.
- Review alerts.
- Develop, produce, and review reports.
Commercial Vehicle Program
- Manage Carrier Fitness Safety Certificate program at the provincial and federal level.
- Manage Commercial Driver Education Programs.
- Maintain Transportation Safety and Maintenance Program Manuals.
- Manage Safety Fitness Certificate and permit renewals.
- Support new hire orientation process.
- Oversee / conduct audits of Commercial Vehicle Program (including log audits).
- Review violations.
- Provide expert advice and technical support to Operations.
Light Duty Vehicle Safety
- Oversee driver education.
- Maintain driver abstract records.
Necessary qualifications :
- 5 years of experience with commercial vehicle programs in Canada.
- Preference for experience with both federal and Alberta provincial regulations.
- Familiarity with ELDs and vehicle telematics is an asset.
- Formal training in occupational health and safety is an asset.
- Having a CRSP is an asset.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills.
