The Inventory Manager is responsible for production material as soon as it arrives, until it’s consumed within the facility.
This position manages material receiving, releasing material to production, inventory counts and material consumption. The Inventory Manager is also responsible for managing the database of materials within the company ERP, by ensuring the receiving of materials is always up to date, including performing spot checks and performing inventory counts.
Key Accountabilities :
- Oversee the timely and efficient receipt and release of material to the production teams
- Maintain an accurate database within the ERP, allowing for effective and timely reporting to the Finance Team in alignment with established timelines.
- Oversee and organize the inventory team and ensure members are positioned to succeed in their duties.
- Ensure team adherence to SOP and Health and Safety policies in performance of duties.
- Oversee the maintenance of inventory equipment and systems.
- Resolve unexpected situations effectively to maintain production timelines.
- Implement, monitor and maintain SOP’s to ensure optimal efficiency of team.
- Coordinate processes and shared resources with production and warehousing teams.
- Organize and execute inventory counts.

Qualifications :
- College or University degree / diploma in a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Inventory / System Administration environment
- Minimum of 3 years in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and scheduling (Optimizing manufacturing sequences) with ERP Software
- Strong technical aptitude, with knowledge of MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team with proven leadership and team-building abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
- Knowledge of construction materials
Physical Requirements :
- Standing for long periods, with occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
- Able to work in all weather conditions including outdoors.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting, tight spaces and ladder use
- Wearing PPE such as safety boots, safety vest, safety glasses and gloves.
