Under the direction of the Station Manager, the Supervisor assists in managing the day-to-day field primary and remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop.
This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and mentor personnel, equipment and materials to ensure they arrive at location on time.
Execute successful cementing jobs according to design / client specification; understand rigging in / out procedures.
Execute cement jobs in accordance with the cementing operations process flow.
Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
Ensure critical tasks are completed on every cementing job, including but not limited to measuring the density of cement using a pressurized scale, collecting samples, utilizing radios on location, blowing down all units and P-tanks after every job.
Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments, including Sales and Dispatch.
Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards and assist in leadership of the Station.
Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports, or other reporting, as required.
Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high level of service.
Develop and maintain strong external / internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
Work with management to improve policy and procedures.
Verify load tickets.
Supervise a crew on basic primary cement jobs.
Demonstrate the ability to operate any two of the core pieces of equipment.
Complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP (Magnum's internal competency evaluation program).
Participate in training and development activities.
Other general duties as required.
Qualifications - Required
Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physically capable of moving / lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting / driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change due to market conditions).
Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Qualifications - Looking For
Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, as required.
Able to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.
Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.
Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
