Description

The role of Manager, Project Management is responsible for preparing comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects.

The person in this role is responsible for performing various coordinating tasks, including scheduling and risk management, along with administrative duties.

This person is responsible for maintaining project documentation ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meeting SYSPRO quality standards to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a well designed project plan, with tasks, timelines, budgets and risk analysis
  • Liaise with personnel who are responsible for implementing the project tasks, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and timelines
  • Document project progress, present and document interim results, cooperate with management, customers and steering committees, carry out regular project reviews
  • Escalate project risks and devise a solution in a timely manner
  • Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects
  • Comfortable managing technology-based projects and should be at ease when collaborating with various teams including technology, product, vendors, etc.
  • Involved in all phases of project from initiation, through planning, execution, and monitoring, to close
  • Review project proposal or plan and determine a timeframe
  • Prepares and presents project reports for management, client, or others
  • Provide administrative support and undertake project tasks as needed
  • Maintain accurate information on all project documentation, project collaboration tools, and CRM

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A Bachelor's Degree in related field or technical school
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification issued by the Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience project coordination
  • Full knowledge of PMI and PMBOK standards
  • Previous experience with SYSPRO is highly desired
  • Detail oriented and efficient
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Superior people skills; team-oriented, fast learner and very personable
  • Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Assertiveness
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
