About you and this role - What you would do in this role

Dow has exciting opportunities for new graduate PhD scientists who are interested in a career in Research & Development at our Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta site.

As a PhD scientist, you will work with a cross-functional team and use measurement science to address analytical challenges and to provide technical support for plant operations and optimization.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement measurement science approaches like separation science (e.g., gas chromatography and hyphenated techniques) to accelerate delivery on high-priority projects.

Lab experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications Required education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves).

  • A PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Data Science, or other science related discipline is required.
  • New graduates, those that expect to graduate by December 2025 and post-doctoral candidates should apply.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company support or sponsorship.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.700 (on a scale of 4.000) is preferred.
