REQUIRED SKILLS : Excellent knowledge of C, C++, and scripting language BIOS level IP and subsystem SoC firmware development experience including configuration boot and configuration runtime firmware development.
Ability to adapt learn new toolsets and framework. Firmware development, testing, and integration into overall BIOS. Strong knowledge of git.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE DESIRED : Experience with DDR / JEDEC standard IP, DDR PHY, or Memory Controller firmware development.
Experience with pre-silicon development and debugging of BIOS firmware on simulation / emulation / FPGA platforms. Strong understanding of SoC organization / architecture.
Utilization of architectural models to verify firmware pre-silicon. Laboratory experience, including the use of equipment : oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
to debug and triage firmware and lab bring up issues. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCED DESIRED : Knowledge of SystemC, UVM and Python.
VCS simulation and debug experience. Strong understanding of synchronization techniques (handshakes, message passing). Knowledge of hardware level clocking and synchronization.
Zebu Emulation debug experience. SoC IP knowledge and architectural understanding of the purpose of each IP. Experience with low level, physical phenomena-oriented logic design (dealing with IO, clocking, voltage control, etc.
EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and relevant experience, or Master's or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with relevant experience.
