Key Responsibilities
- Oversees operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensures departmental productivity objectives and service quality standards.
- Establishes and maintains cost-control system for linen and cleaning supplies inventories.
- Oversees budgeting, ordering and receiving of supplies.
- Inspects and manages the quality of housekeeping services within set timelines.
- Schedules staff according to productivity standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Complies and reports information on housekeeping activities and expenses.
- Communicates with Guest Services on the status of guest rooms.
- Provides training and career development for housekeeping staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provides feedback for employees.
- Provides input to the department’s annual budget, monitors and reports variances against plan, and keeps track of labour costs.
- Complies with Hotel Policies and Procedures for security and emergency procedures.
What You Bring
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a 3 + star hotel as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Previous supervisory experience including scheduling, training, development, performance appraisals and administering disciplinary actions.
- Superior people management skills, customer service, conflict resolution skills and dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to results through flexible scheduling, consistent follow-up and leadership by example.
- Highly productive, energetic, attentive to detail and a positive attitude.
