Location : Variouslocations across Alberta

Asa Mechanical Inspector you will be responsible for inspectingmechanical systems and installations to ensure they comply withlocal codes regulations and safety standards.

Your role will beessential in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency ofmechanical systems within thejurisdiction.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Inspectmechanical systems equipment and installations to ensure compliancewith local codes safety regulations and industrystandards.
  • Reviewmechanical plans and specifications to verify they meet allrequired regulations and technicalrequirements.
  • Conductinspections of HVAC systems plumbing systems elevators and othermechanical installations at various stages of construction andoperation.
  • Identifyand document violations deficiencies or hazards in mechanicalsystems and recommend correctiveactions.
  • Preparedetailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records ofinspections compliance and enforcementactions.
  • Providetechnical guidance and support to contractors engineers andproperty owners regarding mechanical codes and safetypractices.
  • Respondto inquiries and complaints related to mechanical installations andcodecompliance.
  • Stayupdated on changes in mechanical codes regulations and industrybest practices to ensure accurate inspections andrecommendations.
  • Collaboratewith other municipal departments and agencies to address andresolve mechanicalrelatedissues.

Requirements

  • Relevantcertification or diploma in Mechanical Inspection MechanicalEngineering or a relatedfield.
  • Provenexperience as a mechanical inspector or in a similar role with astrong understanding of mechanical codes and safetyregulations.
  • Excellentobservational and analytical skills for assessing mechanicalsystems and identifyingissues.
  • Strongcommunication skills for interacting with contractors engineers andmunicipalofficials.
  • Detailorientedwith strong organizational skills for managing inspection reportsandrecords.
  • Abilityto stay current with evolving mechanical codes regulations andindustrypractices.

Relevant certification or diploma in Mechanical Inspection,Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as amechanical inspector or in a similar role, with a strongunderstanding of mechanical codes and safety regulations.

Excellentobservational and analytical skills for assessing mechanicalsystems and identifying issues. Strong communication skills forinteracting with contractors, engineers, and municipal officials.
