MatrixHR is currently seeking experienced Metal Fabricators for an exciting project located in BC. This is a long term, full-time project.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in metal fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, and assembling various metal components.
The Journeyman Metal Fabricator will be responsible for producing high-quality products while ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret and read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as welders, plasma cutters, shears, and CNC machines.
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, and Stick) on various metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to specifications, ensuring precision and quality.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations and practices.
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentices or less experienced fabricators.
Requirements :
- Must have a Red Seal Certification
- Must be able to handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to fifty (50lbs) pounds
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- A pre-employment physical is required
- Must be able to wear PPE + Fit Tested Respirator Mask
- Must be able to work in Confined Spaces
- All suitable candidates will also be required to pass government clearance
