Veterinary Client Experience, Tech Assistant
Location : Peterborough, ON
Schedule : Casual, Part-time
Burnham Mansion Animal Hospital welcomes a dependable and caring Veterinary Client Experience, Technician Assistant to join our team.
This casual, part-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated!
Key responsibilities and attributes in your role as Technician Assistant / Vet Assistant include :
Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients; ability to adapt to changing situations
General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Strong organizational skills while being able to take initiative in carrying out assignments independently
Client care responsibilities including : answering a multiline phone system and tracking and booking appointments effectively
Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
Admitting and discharging pet patients
Invoicing / billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset
