Front Office Manager

Position Summary : Reporting to the Director of Rooms, the Front Office Manager will oversee all front guest-facing operations within the rooms division, including Front Desk, Night Audit, and Bell Persons / Parking Attendants.
Additionally, will provide training and development of all front office team members, and implement standard operational procedures to ensure all roles adhere to operational standards.
Participate in leadership including leadership meetings / discussions throughout the resort. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard : Provide leadership and guidance to the junior leaders in the department.
Encourages and builds trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Supervises and manages day-to-day operations within the department.
The ability to ensure qualified personnel are selected, hired, and trained in all areas of responsibility. Oversee all scheduled and forecasting of hours and expenses within the front office operations in line with approved budgets.
Primary person responsible for several on-property systems and Opera Cloud PMS. Primary point of contact for guest-escalated situations at the resort.
Ensures all standards are maintained for onboarding all new front office staff. Providing feedback and reviews for all Supervisors and colleagues within the department.
Has an up-to-date and ongoing training program in place for all front desk staff. Ensure that all policies, procedures, and federal, provincial, and local laws are complied with about personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations, safety, etc.
Maintain good strong communication and relationship within different departments at the resort and within Argus as a whole.
What are we looking for? To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following : Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership capacity at a resort hotel, preference will be given to applicants with prior Front Office Experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience with Opera Cloud PMS. Ability to develop and motivate staff to achieve goals and provide ongoing coaching to staff to enhance performance.
Ability to work with all employees to promote teamwork and cooperative relationships across departments. Ability to work in high pressure situations while remaining calm and taking charge.
Willingness to learn and grow in the position and open to feedback and open dialogue with you direct report and peers. Class 5 driver’s license required.
