Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Learning & Development Specialist is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training and professional development programs that support organizational growth, employee skill enhancement, and strategic talent development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments across the organization to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities.
- Design and develop engaging training content, including instructor-led workshops, e-learning modules, and blended learning programs.
- Create and maintain a robust learning management system (Dayforce) to track and manage employee training progress.
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for learning & development opportunities for individual employees and teams.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
- Design leadership development and career progression programs.
- Collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, performance metrics, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
- Stay current with emerging learning technologies, instructional design methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Assist the organization in an HR Business Partner capacity when required.
- Participate and lead other initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or instructional design, preferably in a manufacturing / construction setting.Professional certification preferred.Advanced proficiency in learning management systems (preferably Dayforce) and e-learning tools.Strong instructional design skills with experience in creating various learning content formatsExcellent communication and presentation skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness.Soft Skills
