We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor for our manufacturing client based in Southeast Edmonton. This is a full-time, permanent on-site position.
Responsibilities :
- Champion OH&S initiatives in the workplace while ensuring legislation is adhered to.
- Support and promote the value of the HSE program.
- Provide consistent and accurate HSE advice to all team members.
- Provide support on HSE issues / problems.
- Assist in the review and implementation of safety plans (with emphasis on proactive initiatives).
- Carry out risk assessments and participate in incident investigations.
- Development and implementation of risk management tools.
- Encourage safe work practices and compliance with procedures.
- Deliver safety-related training to production teams and individuals as required by the business.
Q ualifications and Skills
- CRSP designation is mandatory.
- Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- 10+ years experience in a Health, Safety and environment-related role.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Previous experience in leading teams is an asset.
- A strong team player with superior organizational and project management skills.
- Strong work ethic, high level of enthusiasm and ability to excel in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
