Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
Create and maintain production plans and master schedules to meet customer demand using ERP systems
Plan and prepare production schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) in collaboration with sales, accounting, purchasing, and manufacturing departments
Ensure production priorities are current, complete, and accurate while maintaining a cross-functional production control team
Collaborate with various departments to ensure labor, material, and operational inputs support the aligned schedule
Generate plant forecasting, load, and capacity reports (short-term and long-term)
Create Master Production Schedules, Manufacturing Orders, and forecast inventory requirements
Optimize inventory levels and support the implementation of an inventory management ERP system
Review sales forecasts, customer demands, and schedule production batches based on inventory levels and production lead time
Ensure accurate inventory levels (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and product data for finished products
Advise management on work in progress, potential production problems, and resource allocation
Create and organize daily production schedules and ensure accurate recording of output levels in the correct system
Collaborate with employees to resolve scheduling-related issues
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements :
Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent industry experience
Post-secondary education with a focus on manufacturing planning and scheduling
3-5 years of previous work-related experience in a job-related field
Direct experience in scheduling within a metal manufacturing environment is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
