Job Overview :
Supports engineering activities including assembly, fabrication, modification, testing, and validation of test jigs, fixtures, and cable testers.
Works from schematics, diagrams, and written / verbal instructions to assemble and perform testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
Assists in determining corrective actions for malfunctions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assemble fixtures for manufacturing testing and validation of engineered products.
- Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various fixtures.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, and concepts to assemble test jigs, fixtures, and cable testers.
- Assist in debugging fixtures and provide technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Engineers to construct electro-mechanical fixtures, including wiring and operating supporting electronic equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, PCs).
- Set up and conduct component and system testing, recording results.
- Prepare technical reports, graphs, and analysis using spreadsheets and PC formats.
- Produce required documentation on time as directed by the Engineering team.
- Organize and maintain lab facilities and equipment.
- Support engineering pilot runs for fixturing.
- Communicate effectively and maintain a strong work ethic and cooperation with peers and Engineers.
