Box Bus has immediate openings for full-time or part-time, permanent owner-operator drivers.
This position is ideal for those with their own mini-van, car or SUV.
You are driving your own car so N licenses are acceptable.
Deliveries are within the Richmond, Delta, Surrey, Burnaby, Tri-cities, NW, Vancouver and North & West Vancouver but in one tight, dense zone each day, not all over the place.
Eg. Downtown, UBC and Kitsilano or South Vancouver and South Burnaby) 8 : 00 am start time, 7-10 hour days. Routes will be 100-150km or less.
Shifts are available every day of the week.
Part-time and Full-time positions are available. We accept weekend drivers for part-time that are available Sat+Sun and we accept full-time drivers available Mon-Fri or Mon-Sat.
Students and those with scrambled schedules (such as Tue+Thur+Sat) will not be accepted. Weekend warriors or full-time only, please.
Essential worker position, so you'll have work even if another lockdown occurs.
Cargo is light, small packages that take up very little room.
Bi-weekly pay on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. No deductions T4-A contractor.
Requirements :
Safety Vest (Class 2) (100% Mandatory at Warehouse, not on road, but I advise wearing a vest while delivering.)
Must provide a vehicle for the work. Minivan, Car or SUV. Light, small cargo.
Winter / All-Weather Tires (Not All-Season October-April)
Can safely get in and out of your van multiple times a day.
Have a smartphone with a data plan.
Have a valid BC Class 5 or 7 (standard license for cars) driver's license. NO OUT-OF-COUNTRY DRIVER LICENSES ALLOWED (Please go to Driver Services and get your Canadian License)
Able to pass a criminal background check.
No driver suspension in the past 5 years.
Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred :
1+ year of courier experience in the GVA.
Customer service background.
A can-do attitude.
Time management skills.
