LEC01 : Tuesdays, 2 : 00 pm - 5 : 00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidacy in economics. Demonstrated teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of the subject area.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the minimum, an academic record of recent macroeconomic research. Previous experience in teaching a similar course at the undergraduate (university) level.

Previous experience using pedagogical practices that promote active learning at the undergraduate (university) level.

Duties

All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content;

development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact, supervision of T.A. assigned to course.

Salary for a half-course (0.50 FCEs) inclusive of vacation pay : The Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $9,457.89. Sessional Lecturer I-Long Term rate of pay will be $9,930.

79. Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $10,121.76. Sessional Lecturer II-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,326.61.

Sessional Lecturer III rate of pay will be $10,362.76. Sessional Lecturer III-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,570.01.

This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14 : 12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.

Please note : Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
