About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with internal clients to source, recruit and onboard key talent in all aspects of Business Services Group and Corporate business.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an advisor to the business, partnering with Hiring Managers on delivering innovative and efficient hiring practices.
This role is ideally suited for a high-energy individual who can take initiative while continually managing competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment (analyzing workforce needs, identifying sourcing strategies, screening, interviewing, and closing), which includes evaluating candidates for core values and culture fit;
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements and establish recruiting strategy;
- Research and recommend creative sourcing strategies to market our company culture;
- Implement effective techniques for identifying new talent including direct sourcing, social media, referrals and networking;
- Build candidate networks and pipelines for proactive recruitment;
- Develop and maintain relationships with agency recruiters, employment centres and associations;
- Host and attend university / college career fairs in support of company recognition and Student Programs;
- Track and report key metrics designed to measure recruitment activity;
Knowledge and Experience Required
- A university degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field;
- Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience with a combination of Corporate and Agency recruitment experience preferred;
- Ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to senior positions;
- Proven skills in strategic recruitment and a clear understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle process;
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency and a proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships;
- Expert in balancing multiple and shifting priorities;
- Personal flexibility and comfort in handling change with little notice;
- Innovative, extremely creative and constantly looking for ways to improve;
- Strong focus on providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Highly advanced knowledge of social media sites, and online sourcing tools including LinkedIn Recruiter;
- Experience executing employer brand and recruitment marketing projects that support a company’s EVP;
- Exposure to behavioral based interview techniques;
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. French would be considered an asset.
Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively.
