Senior Technical Program Manager, Global Physical Security Engineering

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to work in our physical security technology space.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, Global Physical Security Engineering at Equinix, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.
You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
You’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This role will partner with the Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Operations, and Leadership across Equinix to plan, design, implement, launch, and operate security services.
Responsibilities
You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company
You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers
Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications
Manage program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship where improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable
Lead a governance structure that drives executive decision-making and ensure governance structure exposes and mitigates dependencies
Identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and affect multiple teams
Define / manage a program portfolio solving problems that focus on business impact for the organization and product area
Device Management and Security
Work with all Equinix teams to ensure physical security IT devices globally, (cameras, access control systems, alarms, etc) are configured with up-to-date security settings
Implement and maintain encryption protocols to protect data transmitted by physical security devices
Create processes to regularly update firmware and software for all security devices globally to protect against vulnerabilities
Manage & partner with IT teams on all heath monitoring on devices to ensure business continuity
Integration and Collaboration
Work closely with the Global Physical Security team to integrate IT security measures into physical security operations
Collaborate with network and system administrators to ensure physical security devices are properly integrated into the broader IT infrastructure
Provide guidance and support to local security teams at various global locations
Documentation
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of Global security policies, procedures, and configurations for physical security IT devices
Provide training and awareness programs for staff on the secure use and management of physical security devices
Develop standard operating procedures for the secure deployment and management of physical security systems
Technology Evaluation and Implementation
Evaluate new physical security technologies and recommend solutions to enhance security through a Secure by Design process
Plan and oversee the implementation of new security technologies and ensure they are properly integrated into existing systems, and Information Security Architecture Frameworks
Perform regular reviews and updates of existing security technologies to ensure they meet current security standards
