About the team + role

Robinhood's Security PMO organization is in search of our next Program Manager (Tech) to collaborate with our Security Operations function.

This function comprises our Detection & Response, Insider Trust, and Intel & Investigations, providing capabilities such as detection platforms & signals, incident response, and security intelligence.

In this role, you will partner with our teams to develop and lead programs supporting our top security priorities, refine our security operational workflows, and guide our teams towards data-driven operational excellence.

You will define the program mission, conduct gap analysis, and craft strategic plans for prioritizing and addressing gaps in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including other Security & Privacy teams, Corporate Engineering, Engineering, and Risk Management.

The ideal candidate flourishes with cross-functional collaboration, building trust, and fostering strong working relationships across various functions.

You possess experience in developing security operations documentation programs and excel as a writer, capable of producing clear documentation and driving consensus across the organization.

While currently an individual contributor role, this position offers significant organizational impact and influence.

What you’ll do

  • Hands-on, end-to-end program management from design to delivery
  • Establishing, monitoring, and analyzing Security Operations and Safety by Design metrics and devise plans for continuous improvement
  • Advocating for the Security Operations and Safety by Design team's plans and overall strategy
  • Establishing, refining, and documenting our security operating procedures
  • Providing transparency into the team's work and priorities through effective communication practices
  • Collaborating with other Security & Privacy teams, Corporate Engineering, Engineering, and Risk Management to ensure alignment with cross-functional initiatives
  • Working closely with our legal, audit, and regulatory partners to ensure compliance and meet legal requirements

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business / Risk Management, or related fields
  • 5 years of experience with leading programs in the Security Operations space
  • Experience in building and program managing complex cross-functional programs
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in one or more security subject areas
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize automation over manual processes.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO)
  • Familiarity with security operations tools and safety by design processes
