Position Overview :
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will serve as a float practitioner across various hospital-owned clinics and the main hospital as needed.
This role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to different environments and patient populations.
The NP will provide high-quality care, assess and manage a range of medical conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Assessment and Management : Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages in various clinical settings.
Clinical Procedures : Perform routine clinical procedures, such as suturing, administering injections, and conducting physical examinations, in accordance with established protocols.
Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, share updates, and discuss treatment plans.
Patient Education : Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management, preventive care, and treatment options to promote informed decision-making.
Documentation and Compliance : Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations, ensuring continuity of care.
Adaptability : Flexibly float between clinics and the main hospital, adjusting to varying patient needs and clinic workflows as required.
Qualifications :
Education : Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program, with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
Licensure : Current RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification in the state of practice. DEA certification.
Experience : Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or outpatient clinic environment. Experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus.
Skills : Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications : BLS and ACLS certification required; additional certifications relevant to specialty areas may be beneficial.
Work Environment : The NP will work in various hospital-owned clinics and the main hospital, requiring adaptability to different teams and workflows.
This role may involve a combination of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and inpatient units.
