We are looking for a Senior Technology Support Specialist to join our team in ourMontreal office!

As a senior member of our IT department, you will be responsible to coordinate and delegate the day-to-day functions of our Montreal IT Team.

You will report to our Director of Technology Support Services. You will be providing technical support to all staff on the firm's software applications and user hardware.

Your day as a Senior Technology Support Specialist

  • Act as a Team lead to our Montreal IT department by coordinating, providing guidance and answering inquires.
  • Provide technical support to all staff on all of the firm's software applications and user hardware (printers, smartphones, monitor, terminal, etc ).
  • Responsible for opening, monitoring, escalating, resolving, closing, and following up on all calls in a timely manner.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting assistance to all staff members in regards to training and support of firm hardware and software.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of firm's mission critical main software applications as well as a good working knowledge of all firm owned application software.
  • Updating of the Technical Support database and providing reports as requested.
  • Escalate calls in a timely manner to second or third level support and follow up on calls.
  • Provide input to help develop and implement Technical Support standards, policies and procedures as well as providing experimentation with and feedback on new software.

Our ideal candidate

  • 4+ years of experience in information technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a team lead with effective coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to motivate teams and maintain a comfortable and conducive working environment.
  • College certificate in PC support, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 or 2019 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload, demonstrate good judgment, and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot.
