Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our clients team for multiple transformative projects.

The successful candidate may be assigned entirely to an Integration Strategy implementation project delivering a new iPaaS solution on a private cloud or a digital transformation project to implement a new iLottery system (SaaS).

Depending on priority and resourcing needs, the incumbent may be allocated to one or both projects. Project 1 Integration Strategy :

• Document Business and Functional requirements.
• Manage vendor deliverables.

Project 2 Digital Strategy :

• Assist with program planning for data migration (data mapping, player account management migration plans, and strategy).
• Prepare for vendor discovery / gap analysis activities.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring successful service migration and refactoring services to best practice patterns on the new platform. Responsibilities :

• Partner with preferred vendors to understand product roadmaps and recommend solutions.
• Use industry consulting governance, controls, and risk methodologies to translate business requests into functional requirements, prototypes, and technical solutions.
• Analyze and deliver features iteratively in a continuous delivery mode.
• Conduct impact analysis of refactoring existing services.
• Develop detailed functional and nonfunctional requirements, system design specifications, workflow designs, and data mapping.
• Collaborate with architects and technical leads to understand software and interfaces.
• Lead meetings to communicate technical complexities to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with architecture standards and regulatory / security controls.
• Learn current processes and assist in developing target processes and toolsets.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deliverables through effective time management and goal setting.
• Recommend process automation and system opportunities to reduce manual effort and implementation time.
• Assist with best practices, processes, and toolset selection for adopting a DevSecOps model.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a senior systems analyst in IT, documenting system specifications, gap analysis, functional and non-functional requirements, workflow diagrams, and data mapping.
• University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Experience within SDLC / Agile : analysis, design, prototyping, integration, testing, deployment with cloud, 3rd party hosted web-based, or mobile applications.
• Ability to work in a virtual team environment and communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple competing projects and priorities.
• Beneficial experience : digital transformation, e-commerce platforms, data mapping & migration, customer journey mapping, data & analytics.
• Strong knowledge of integration design and development processes, data integration, or workflows.
• Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, Informatica, Workato, Zapier).
• Experience with e-commerce websites, payment gateways, APIs, and SaaS solutions.
• Experience working with 3rd party vendor partners and configuring off-the-shelf solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in a DevSecOps model is a plus.
• Advanced experience in SQL, XML, functional specifications, process mapping tools (e.g., Visio), JIRA, and Confluence.

Term :

• Start : As soon as possible.
• End : December 2024 with possibility of extension.
• Location : Winnipeg (Hybrid - primarily remote, occasional office visits based on needs).
• Full-time / Part-time : Accepting candidates with availability from 50% (18 hours weekly) to 100% (35 hours weekly) allocation.
