Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Medical Imaging Aide / Clerk to join the Magnetic Resonance Imaging team at UBC in Vancouver, BC.

As a Medical Imaging Aide / Clerk you will :
- Perform client registration and check in, place appointment reminder calls to clients, relay pre-test preparation information to clients, and may reschedule and / or book client appointments as required.
- Assist Technologists with positioning and lifting clients as directed and / or escorting patients to and from exam room.
- Monitor and replenish department inventories and ensure core supply levels are maintained, perform cleaning and tidying functions of the area, perform clerical functions, and act as receptionist to support the delivery of client care to ensure client / family needs are met above all other concerns.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Grade 12 plus two (2) year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
