What You’ll Do
Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Build understanding of Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to make effective decisions.
- Lead end-to-end delivery planning of assigned project(s) including ideation / interpretation of business needs, business case development, project governance establishment, development of project and implementation plans, and solution transition to business-as-usual (BAU) including budgeting & resourcing.
- Influence the decision-making process to ensure alignment to business priorities, technology and architecture strategy, and resource capacity for assigned project(s).
- Works independently and exercises excellent judgement based on precedents or best practices with guidance in only the most complex or high-risk situations.
Adhere to the Bank’s Enterprise Delivery Framework Standards.
- Positively impact program design, risks, and delivery across business areas or subfunctions.
- Manage governance forums (as required) and communication with primarily and secondary stakeholders from the business, operations, data office, technology, and other relevant functions, frequently across multiple jurisdictions.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture drive day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Represent Scotiabank effectively when involved with external parties, including regulators, suppliers, and industry peers.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his / her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.

What You’ll Bring
- An undergraduate degree preferably in finance, business management, or accounting or equivalent work experience is required.
- 10+ years of working experience in capital / global markets or related consulting experience.
- A master’s degree in finance, business management, or accounting and / or industry designations would be considered an asset but is not required.
- 5+ years of experience managing projects within a large bank or for a consulting firm.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders, coordinating project teams, running meetings, preparing and providing presentations.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
