We're looking for experienced professionals to join our client’s dynamic team in Edmonton. This is a unique opportunity to work on Canada's Leopard 2 Family of Vehicles in partnership with the Department of National Defence (DND).
We’re seeking Journeyman or Red Seal Off-Road Heavy Equipment Technicians to actively participate in the maintenance and repair of Canada’s Leopard 2 fleet (including the Leopard 2 battle tank).
This role involves being a part a skilled team of technicians and performing repairs and maintenance to support the long-term operational sustainment of these vehicles.
Based in Nisku, AB. (with occasional work in Edmonton) the role offers a unique blend of Heavy Duty Off-Road technical and mechanical work in a high-impact environment.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing :
Perform PMs on the Leopard 2 Family of Vehicles (including the Leopard 2 battle tank), including routine inspections, fluid changes, lubrication, and system diagnostics to prevent breakdowns.
Execute detailed repair tasks, including troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, replacing worn or damaged components such as engines, transmissions, and track systems.
Conduct in-depth maintenance on critical vehicle systems, including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and suspension adjustments to ensure optimal performance in various field conditions.
Support the integration and validation of sub-systems by testing and calibrating new or upgraded components, ensuring they meet performance specifications.
Implement corrective actions as directed by the project team, addressing complex mechanical and system faults in a timely manner.
Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, procedures followed, and issues encountered, ensuring accurate records for future reference.
Maintain compliance with safety and operational protocols, ensuring all maintenance procedures are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
Qualifications
What you bring :
Certification : Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician.
Experience : 5+ years working on off-road equipment such as dozers, front-end loaders, and excavators.
Skills : Autonomy, teamwork, and adaptability in a workshop and field environment.
Expertise in high-performance engines, hydropneumatic transmissions, and advanced hydraulic and electrical systems preferred.
Security Clearance : Ability to pass military security clearance.
