Job Title : Field Technical Support Specialist Cone Crusher

Description :
Our client, a leading provider of rock crushing equipment for the mining industry, is seeking a bilingual (English / French) Technical Support Specialist.
This role involves 50% work-from-home and 50% travel to client mining sites to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for the company’s products.
The ideal candidate will have a background in mining, mechanical engineering, or field technician, with experience in cone crushers or similar equipment.
The role reports to the Client Support Director and involves building client relationships, delivering technical training, and contributing to product improvements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support for all products and equipment, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Create technical documents and procedures for product maintenance and inspections.
- Assist in training clients both in the field and remotely on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Support sales teams and client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and product reliability.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve product and quality issues.
- Travel to mining sites (40-60% of the time) for on-site support and inspections.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and competitor products.
- Act as a technical resource for internal teams and subcontractors.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mining, mechanical engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical experience (10+ years).
- Experience with mining equipment, particularly cone crushers, is highly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and French is required.
- Ability to travel to client sites (national / international) as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with product engineering, machining, welding, and laser scanning is a plus.
Physical Demands :
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, and working in various environments.
- Must pass a fit test for respiratory protection.
