What is the opportunity?
The Director of IAM Strategy will report to the Senior Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Strategic Effectiveness.
In this senior role, you will be responsible for driving the effectiveness of IAM strategies across technical teams, functions, and lines of business.
In this hybrid role, the Director will lead a team in the strategic implementation of enhanced IAM capabilities throughout the organization, and be responsible for supporting the IAM function with various strategic regulatory and risk matters.
This role will require you to work with a wide range of partners across Global Cyber Security, all three lines of defence, technical and business owners, and vendors / third parties.
We are looking for an ambitious, adaptable, and proactive individual with knowledge in the IT Risk space as well as IAM, who considers efficiency, flexibility, and resiliency in everything we do.
What will you do?
- Contribute to the IAM Strategic direction; provide technology thought-leadership and strategic solutions that enhance and support business processes.
- Provides leadership and expert counsel in establishing and implementing IAM and other IT Risk standards, and best practices for the development and deployment of solutions across the organization.
- Lead IAM strategic initiatives related to the deployment of new capabilities across the organization.
- Identifying and documenting all required activities (creating project plans, funding requests, etc.) to address any strategic regulatory or audit matters on an ongoing basis (preparing / validating deliverables, processes, continuous executive reporting, etc.).
- Perform Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) Application Assessment activities and identify and drive remediation activities including assisting with the onboarding / implementation of controls and ensuring findings exist where applicable.
Assisting owners with what constitutes successful implementation.
- Identifying, providing consultation, and planning of end-to-end gaps remediation (building plans, tracking, and monitoring of remediation efforts by IAM and / or application owners).
- Perform IAM-related planning activities along with PMO to request any required planning, funding and resourcing activities.
- Partner and work with leaders of various levels across the organization to ensure integrated activities across strategic and regulatory remediation.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships to enable active and collaborative working relationships.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 10 years of experience in IT Risk and controls background (experience in Audit or lines of defence processes).
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships across large organizations.
- Excellent writing skills for executive and regulatory audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in an organized manner, with attention to detail, prioritize, and handle multiple work streams.
- IAM understanding (IAM products, relevant technology, and industry best practices).
- Ability to identify and mitigate gaps in aspects of an organization's IAM maturity.
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience.
