POSITION OVERVIEW
Waypoint is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to facilitate the growth and development of our employees across various departments.
This role will collaborate closely with leadership and managers to design, implement, and evaluate effective learning initiatives that align with our organizational goals and values.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about building relationships, employee development, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Partner with business leaders to assess learning needs and develop comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
- Design and deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences using a variety of methodologies, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
- Identify and leverage external resources, such as industry experts, workshops, and online courses, to supplement internal training offerings.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.· Evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and tools by developing and delivering training materials and resources.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to employees to reinforce learning and development objectives.· Stay current on industry trends and best practices in learning and development, and proactively share knowledge and insights with stakeholders.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the learning and development function, ensuring that training content and delivery methods are inclusive and accessible to all employees.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
- Experience in the insurance industry required.
- Insurance license required.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
