What is the opportunity?
As the IAM Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, and supporting Authentication Services within RBC and its subsidiaries.
The ideal candidate is passionate about authentication, security, has experience building large scale enterprise software, and has direct experience in authentication, identity, pam, security, and in building complex rule-based systems for authorization.
What will you do?
Participates in the full lifecycle of development and implementation within Authentication services and associated IAM policies and processes from initial internal hand-off from Business Analysts and Project teams to installation, system configuration, development and testing
Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Entra ID (aka Azure Active Directory), architecture, tools and products.
Provide guidance for during the implementation from a technical perspective on issues such as : performance, scalability, reliability, and security
Participates in architecture and design discussions around solutions and enhancements
Identifies opportunities for efficiencies by leveraging automation and other techniques
Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.
Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
2-4 years of IAM experience with strong knowledge in development (installation, configuration, and coding) of Entra ID (aka Azure Active Directory)
Experience in cloud security, identity and / or authentication protocols highly desired
Experience with authentication and federation concepts and technologies - SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Multi-Factor Authentication
Experience with some of : MS Active Directory, Entra ID, SAML, OAuth, WS-Federation, WS-Trust, XML, SOAP, Kerberos, Linux, TLS, SSO, GPO
Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization
Extensive expertise deploying software as well as strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on Windows platforms.
Experience in script development like complex PowerShell scripts, batch files, etc.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with using appropriate tools.
Nice-to-have :
Experience in developing and tuning highly scalable systems
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
