The Team
Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Services (SMS) business unit has an opening for a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Services Operations Manager to manage and own the delivery of a 24 / 7 cloud based datacenter.
The candidate will be required to gain an in-depth understanding of Nanometrics service product lines and the associated technology footprint.
Working collaboratively across business functions in order to effectively focus internal resources and achieve the desired outcomes for all stakeholders.
The Role
Lead and motivate a diverse team dedicated to supporting 24 / 7 services within the cloud infrastructure, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Provide direction for the cloud datacenter, advocating for its evolution and driving efficiency and automation initiatives.
Own and coordinate delivery of all aspects of a 24 / 7 available cloud environment delivering business critical applications.
Ongoing tracking of infrastructure project status and completion.
Be responsible and accountable for infrastructure costs providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Be the primary advocate for evolving the cloud based datacenter providing strategic guidance from operations.
Advocate and drive the evolution of the environment towards efficiency and automation.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or technical operations.
7-10 years experience in technology operations roles, such as service management, Technical architecture, network / systems operations.
5 years experience leading a team of multidisciplinary technology support resources at a team lead or manager level.
Experience with technical architecture, network / systems operations.
Knowledgeable in modern cloud concepts and technologies related to Kubernetes including networking, load balancing, auto-scaling, cluster utilization optimization, etc.
Familiarity and experience with observability platforms related to metrics, logs, and tracing.
Familiarity and experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) concepts,
including GitOps best practices.
