A Senior Art Director is a leader in the Art Department at Ogilvy Health who collaborates within a multi-functional team of Creatives, Client Services, Strat Planners and Project Managers.
They own their brands, support others, manage their brands’ evolution, and push the envelope on design wherever and whenever they can.
They also help mentor their fellow Art Directors and Junior Art Directors as they grow into their next career challenges.
They are involved in a wide range of projects, including quality assurance, reviewing others’ design, mentoring, presenting to clients, coming up with tactics for brands, and doing conceptual work for both existing and prospective clients.
Senior Digital Art Directors will report to a more senior Creative for mentorship and quality assurance.
What You’ll Do
- Help foster a collaborative environment
- Execute layouts to deliver on objectives of project briefs
- Deliver layouts per agreed timelines and provide creative rationales for pieces
- Complete updates for ongoing projects and liaise with client services to communicate creative changes
- Develop and present strong concepts when new creative is required
- Oversee consistency across brands, compliance with regulatory bodies
- Manage evolution of your brands from creative perspective
- Attend project briefs and provide input / suggestions as needed
- Collaborate with copywriters to deliver on objectives of creative execution and find solutions to creative challenges
- Review layouts prior to release / back-up Art Directors on their brands
- Apply the Company’s ideals to all business-specific decisions
- Participate in brainstorms and ideation sessions
What You’ll Need
- 6+ years’ experience in an agency, or similar environment
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge of Figma / Sketch
- Background in developing print and digital pieces, and campaigns
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Dynamic thinking with creative flair
