Overview
Located in Ottawa, Canada, Lumentum’s R&D Team is developing a high-speed, high-precision 3D camera using state-of-the-art optical technology.
You will be part of a nimble, fast-moving team that is developing this camera from the ground up. In addition to gaining exposure to the technical aspects of the camera and its software, all team members are exposed to the end solution, which involves many of the world’s top automotive manufacturers.
The Opportunity
We welcome candidates for work terms ranging from 8 to 12 months in duration. Due to the hardware and embedded nature of this project, we require employees to be on-site.
Responsibilities
The 3D Camera Software Developer responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following :
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop software for supporting engineering activities.
- Develop and maintain system level embedded software.
- Participate in code inspections.
- Document, review and execute designer test cases.
- Provide support throughout the software and product verification cycle.
Education Qualifications
Third- or fourth-year students enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of C / C++ development experience.
- or C# development experience.
- Python development experience.
- Software development principles.
- Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Source code control (Git, Subversion).
