POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Infrastructure Specialist with expertise in Azure Infrastructure to join the Enterprise Infrastructure Team within our North America Business Technology Shared Services department.

The Enterprise Infrastructure team is responsible for Dentons' digital core, which includes the firm's services, infrastructure, and network, encompassing both on-premises and cloud environments.

This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is passionate about working in a highly virtualized and innovative environment, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.

This role reports to the Manager and Lead, Enterprise Infrastructure and will be required to work closely with colleagues located across the firm's North America offices and, additionally, with Global IT peers.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a broad understanding and passion for technology, with a specific focus on Azure Infrastructure.

The candidate, as part of our Enterprise Technology group, having intermediate or senior level knowledge & experience, will play a key role in planning, design, implementation, and support of the firm's technology environment, with a particular emphasis on Azure-based solutions, that falls within their areas of responsibilities.

Please note this position is also open to our Edmonton office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, implementing, and maintaining a highly-virtualized production environment, with a strong focus on Azure Infrastructure.

Aid in the analysis of business needs to recommend innovative technology solutions, with an emphasis on Azure, while actively participating in firm-wide IT and business initiatives.

  • Perform system upgrades in collaboration with the Enterprise technology team and external service providers as needed, particularly those involving Azure services.
  • Manage capacity and performance of the platform, with a specific focus on Azure resources, ensuring the integrity of the infrastructure.
  • Maintain infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and processes, with a particular emphasis on Azure best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor infrastructure, including Azure-based components.
  • Provide operational escalation support for the firm's critical business systems, including those hosted in Azure.
  • Proactively monitor the health of critical business systems and technologies, with a specific emphasis on Azure resources.
  • Remain current with emerging trends in technology, particularly in the Azure ecosystem.
  • Participation during monthly maintenance activities, including those related to Azure services.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as required.

REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the existing requirements, the following qualifications related to Azure Infrastructure are added :

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure, including hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and related services.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar, are highly preferred.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure services.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager templates, and infrastructure-as-code principles in the context of Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure security best practices and compliance considerations.
  • Proven ability to architect, implement, and manage disaster recovery and business continuity solutions utilizing Azure services.
  • Strong familiarity with Azure cost management and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Azure-based solutions aligned with business needs.

Note : The existing requirements and qualifications remain relevant, and the new qualifications related to Azure Infrastructure have been added to enhance the candidate's profile for this position.
