Client Care, Animal Care Attendant

Secord Animal Hospital welcomes a full-time Client Care, Animal Care Attendantto join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.
In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated! As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.
The CCS / ACA is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for :
Delivering outstanding client service by greeting visitors, managing appointments, and handling payments.
Educating clients on pet care and recommending products or services.
Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments.
Maintaining accurate records and managing email correspondence.
Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance
Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable
Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a warm and welcoming environment
General housekeeping duties; pet holding areas and common areas when required
Willingness to learn more regarding; pet nutrition, veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Capable of taking initiative and working both independently and collaboratively
