The Opportunity :

We have an exciting opportunity in our Vancouver office for a Architectural Technologist, Senior who brings experience working as a Job Captain on projects in a Revit environment.

Using your Revit skills, you will work with a team to lead a variety of production tasks to prepare documents needed to take a building from the original concept to completion.

You will be responsible for coordinating, managing and preparing the design development and construction documents for innovative and complex projects.

Here’s what you’ll be doing at Kasian :

  • Work with your project team to deliver project documentation requirements through all project phases
  • Lead, develop, prepare, and review Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications
  • Lead, develop, prepare, and review Contract Documents (CD) and specifications
  • Ensure coordination of consultant documentation for project criteria, client program, drawings, and specifications; review the work of consultants
  • Direct the preparation of tender documents
  • Attend coordination and site meetings
  • Coordinate drawing production to accommodate required tender packages
  • Research construction materials
  • Perform code and bylaw analysis
  • Perform Quality Control procedures
  • Provide mentorship and guidance and direction to other Production Team Members

What you bring to Kasian :

  • A minimum of eight years of experience as an architectural technologist
  • An Architectural Technology Diploma or Architecture Degree
  • Experience working on projects in a variety of sectors Industrial, Commercial and Senior Living
  • Proficiency in construction documentation including envelope detailing a must
  • Fluency with Revit
  • A solid understanding of current building systems, materials, and building codes
  • A passion for accuracy
  • A collaborative and flexible approach
  • Motivation, great organizational skills

Salary starts at $78,000 + per annum, based on a 40-hour work week. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, and skill set.
