Our client is a market leader in fastening technology, serving the construction industry within Canada. They are looking for a full-time bilingual (French / English) Architectural Sales Representative to join their team in Montreal, Quebec.
This position will involve travel within Quebec.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include :
Presenting, promoting and selling products or services using solid arguments to existing and
prospective customers
Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing / potential customers to meet their
needs
- Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships
- Reaching out to customer leads through cold calling
- Performing daily visits to potential new customers
- Preparing and developing technically sound presentations to explain the company’s products or services to customers
- Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries
- Researching, developing, and modifying products to meet customers requirements and needs
- Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers
- Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues, as well as possible solutions, to upper management
- Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas
- Training other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company’s products and services
- Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Coordinating sales efforts with team members and other departments
- Analyzing the territory / market’s potential, tracking sales and status reports
- Preparing and submitting to management weekly reports with sales, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Staying up to date with the latest trends in sales and the field of the product by reading
publications and attending conferences and seminars
Monitoring market fluctuations, tendencies, and trends as well as following competitor’s
activity
- Continuously improving through feedback
- Assisting other team members with transactions when necessary
- Working as part of a team within an organization in charge of importing / exporting
products and goods in and out of a country and when needed, helping team members with various day-to-day activities associated to a new established subsidiary
Qualifications :
- A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in engineering, marketing, business administration, or related field
- Experience in sales and the technology field
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
- The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
- Good leadership and team working skills
- Willingness to continue your sales and engineering education
- Live locally and understand the QC and Canadian market in general
- Willing to work under pressure to meet the task deadline or to catch sales target
- Understanding fastener market is an asset
- Bilingual is a must for QC (French and English)
- P.Eng is an asset
