Responsibilities
- Ensure all Maintenance activities are conducted in a safe manner, following procedures at all times.
- Install new or rebuilt equipment as per work order.
- Weld, cut and repair parts as per work order.
- Repair / overhaul equipment (e.g. pumps, motors, blowers, etc.)
- Dismantle, clean and re-install machine components including extruder screw, extruder die, polishing rolls, oven heaters, toggle assemblies, etc.
- Machine start-up.
- General building maintenance (e.g. painting, minor plumbing, etc.)
- Prepare Hot Work Permits.
- Communicate to the Shift Supervisor the status / completion of work assignments.
Assist with tooling changes.
- General housekeeping of your work area
- Complete assigned activities.
- Actively participate with 6S and other Lean initiatives.
- Electrical control voltage troubleshooting and repairs.
Requirements :
- Possess a positive Attitude
- Ticketed Millwright, 433A Industrial Mechanic.
- Welding, Fabricating and machine re-building experience.
- Ability to read, write and understand English (technical documents) and other written material related to the job.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Proven ability to trouble-shoot problems.
- Basic computer skills ability to effectively utilize software
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work in a hot and humid environment.
- Previous experience working in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment.
- Sound understanding of industrial controls networks.
- Sound understanding of industrial drives.
