Summary of responsibilities :
The Senior Advisor, Internal Communications is responsible for providing strategic communications advice and services to key audiences to achieve corporate objectives.
The incumbent will be working collaboratively with client groups developing appropriate communication strategies, plans and products.
Where applicable, the Senior Advisor, Internal Communications supports communication development in accordance with the following : Accessible Canada Regulations, Official Languages Act, and Policy on Gender-Based Analysis Plus.
The Senior Advisor, Internal Communications performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have :
- Graduation from a recognized university or college with a specialization in Communications or other speciality relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a strategic communications role.
- Proven experience developing, writing and presenting communications plans and senior management briefings.
- Proven experience executing communications plans, including project management and product development.
- Experience developing communications for specific internal and external audiences.
- Experience using media content, public opinion research and environmental analyses to provide strategic communications advice to senior management.
- Experience developing collaborative relationships with and providing strategic advice to internal stakeholders.
- Experience in coordinating a corporate publication.
- Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

- Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly analyze complex situations, determine key issues, messages, and outcomes, and implement targeted programs.
- Excellent computer skills and experience working in Microsoft / SharePoint Online and / or internal communications digital tools.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
