Job Description
Through an abundance of creativity and discipline, Ove’s Designers are responsible for working with the Design Director to create strategic design solutions that align to the business objectives of every assignment.
Ove’s Designers are passionate about problem solving and possess an innate sense of curiosity that fuels their creativity and inspires innovative thinking.
They are disciplined and detailed oriented ensuring every project meets the highest of standards that Ove’s clients have come to expect and value.
Ove Designers are team players, applying their broad skillset to pitch in whenever there are new challenges to overcome.
They are versatile in their software knowledge from print to digital, to motion and audio.
To ensure that the highest quality standards are met, it is the Designer’s responsibility to :
- learn and understand Ove processes and manage their contribution from a time and cost perspective.
- immerse themselves in the clients’ businesses and industry through research, active listening and analytical thinking.
- get to know client’s brand and apply this knowledge to their work.
- keep up with the latest advancements in the creative industry.
- work with the assigned Design Director and / or Lead Designer and the Account Service team to develop creative execution of conceptual directions
- extend the conceptual design into design development, ensuring that the spirit of the approved direction is followed through and enhanced
- coordinate and manage mockup production
- inform Production of project delivery requirements in a timely manner (to facilitate in the planning of workflow)
- ensure that the work produced is accurate, follows Ove’s quality control processes including reviewing all work with the Design Director (or proxy)
- be a great communicator maintain a connection with the team
- conduct external desktop research for competitive / comparator audits
Ove’s Designers work with suppliers to deliver solutions, and are expected to :
- get to know Ove’s valued suppliers (within the Publicis network and outside), in terms of their offering and area of specialization, to be in a position to recommend the best options / sources
- prepare accurate specifications and solicit quotations, compare submissions and be prepared to make recommendations to the project team
- source and coordinate stock photography and audio as appropriate
Qualifications
Ove’s Designers are expected to be proficient in :
- Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects)
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Although not a requirement, it would be helpful to have working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Procreate
