SUPPLY EDUCATION ASSISTANT
Daily Rate of Pay : $
Working Hours : 6 hours, 40 minutes / day, excluding unpaid lunch break

With a staff of 14,000, the Toronto Catholic is a dynamic school board and is accepting applications for the position of Supply Education Assistant on an ongoing basis.
The TCDSB maintains a roster of temporary / casual staff for assignment to cover employee absences. Supply staff are assigned from a pool on an as-needed basis.
The primary function of an Education Assistant is to provide assistance to students in the areas of spiritual, education, social, behavioural and physical needs.
The position will often require-heavy lifting. Special programs encountered in the classroom include, but are not limited to :
- Autism
- Behavioural
- Speech
- Hearing (sign language)
- Learning disabilities
- Developmentally delayed
- Multiple handicapped
- Multiple Exceptionalities
Please note the following are required for consideration :
- Grade 12 Ontario, or equivalent. Preference will be given to those that hold an Education Assistant Diploma, a Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or a Child and Youth Care Diploma.
- Pastoral Reference Letter from a Roman Catholic Parish, indicating you are a practicing Roman Catholic (dated within the past 12 months), or a Baptismal Certificate from a Roman Catholic Church.
Note that a positive pastoral reference will be required to be considered for a permanent position).
