What you will be doing :
- You, alongside another staff cook will work Monday to Friday and be provided a monthly menu and amazing quality product to produce meals for Lunch and Dinner services for approximately 375 people.
- Daily salad bar, sandwich mise en place, hot protein and vegetarian options, fresh vegetables, starch, and appropriate sauces.
- Reheating daily soup options provided to you by our production team
- Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
- Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include :
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Knives skills
- Ability to do a variety of knives cuts consistently and precisely
- Ability to read, understand and follow recipes within the guidelines
- Ability to read a prep list and determine in what sequence of order job should be complete
- Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently to ensure job complete
- Ability to listen, follow directions precisely to achieve the end result
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
- Must be Food Safe Certified
- A neat, well-groomed appearance as per hotel standards
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel and restaurant environment is an asset
- Career minded with strong personal initiative and a desire to achieve the department’s vision and goal
