B+H Architects is currently seeking a BIM Support Specialist to join our team in the Toronto Studio. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and standardization of BIM processes across our projects.

BIM Asset Standardization and Support
- Standardize BIM assets, including Revit families, templates, graphic standards, naming conventions, and shared parameters, ensuring they align with B+H’s evolving standards.
- Troubleshooting BIM-related issues for project teams, providing responsive and practical solutions to support ongoing project work.
Project and Technical Support
- Assist project teams with the implementation and use of standardized BIM content, improving workflows and optimizing project efficiency.
- Coordinate with the BIM Manager and Standards Committee to implement updates and support BIM-related initiatives.
- Offer technical support during all phases of project development, from schematic design to contract administration, ensuring BIM processes are followed.
Training and Documentation
- Develop, maintain, and update documentation, including BIM protocol guides, user manuals, and training tutorials for staff.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to ensure team members are proficient with BIM tools and best practices, addressing specific software updates or workflow improvements.
Quality Control and Standards Development
- Participate in task groups and committees, such as the BIM Advisory Committee, to gather feedback on BIM practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with project teams to conduct quality control checks on BIM models, ensuring they meet internal and project-specific standards.
Project Coordination and Collaboration
- Support communication between design teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project development and information flow.
- Prepare BIM execution plans, coordinate project setup in Revit, and facilitate BIM project kick-off meetings.
- Assist in the creation of project-specific BIM content and ensure seamless integration across various project phases.
Research and Innovation
- Conduct industry-related research on BIM advancements, building science, code updates, sustainability practices, and more, integrating new insights into BIM workflows.
- Contribute to B+H’s forward-thinking approach by exploring emerging BIM technologies and identifying opportunities for integration into the firm’s practices.
Position Requirements :
- Education in BIM / Architectural / Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a BIM-focused role within an architectural or engineering firm.
- Advanced skills in Revit, with proficiency in other relevant software (e.g., ACC, Navisworks Rhino,and 3D rendering tools).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills specific to BIM support and project-based issues.
- Knowledge of Python or related programming languages considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, able to relay complex technical information clearly to diverse teams.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a global, multi-disciplinary team.
