The Regional Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of multiple branches or locations within the Eastern Region (Montreal &
Ottawa). This role involves developing and implementing strategies to drive growth, improve performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
This position you will require a strong personality with a good understanding of logistics. A background in transportation as well as excellent communication and computer skills are a must.
Primary areas of responsibility will be but are not limited to the following :
- Keep your regional terminals running efficiently and profitably
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to drive improvements and achieve operational goals
- Develop and execute regional strategies to meet company objectives and expand market presence
- Collaborate with senior management to align regional goals with overall company strategy
- Oversee budgeting and financial performance for the region, ensuring adherence to financial targets
- Assist with dispatch support and routing
- Understand the sortation process
- Build relationships with terminal managers
- Assist with driver issues when necessary
Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role, preferably in a multi-location environment
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and metrics
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
This position is for busy, fast paced terminals that run 5 to 7 days a week.
