This is a direct hire full-time position working with a reputable metal fabrication company in the York region.

Position : Welder / Fitter

Shift : Full-time, Monday-Friday

Salary : Competitive salary of $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all CWB procedures and safety regulations
• Complete complex layouts for weld assemblies in the steel fabrication and miscellaneous metals sector
• Interpret shop drawings and weld diagrams to guarantee precision
• Utilize hand tools and other equipment as required to carry out welding tasks

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience as a Welder Fitter is essential for this role
• Strong welding skills with the ability to fit components using MIG welding
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings and weld diagrams
• Ability to handle physical tasks and work under pressure
• Safety-conscious with a strong attention to detail
