Location : 88 Maplewood Ave, Hamilton, ON
Schedule : Fri 11 : 59 -0800, Sat 2000-0800, Sun 2000-0800
Temporary coverage until 27th December, 2024
Hourly Pay Rate : $18.25
Training pay rate : $18

What does a Security Guard in Hamilton do?
Ensure the safety of people and property and keeping the peace
Aid and assist the public entering facility who are either seeking medical attention from a doctor
Assisting with postmortem patient transport and morgue upkeep
Escort stretchers to / from wards with an environmental aide, nurse, healthcare aide, or other designated transfer staff member
Liaison with Housekeeping (Customer Support Services) on condition and ready state of morgue; and / or conducting basic tasks such as changing sheets
Liaison with retrieval teams; confirmation of final release authority with Security Control and / or ward staff
Guards are not expected to view, handle, or move postmortem patients
Foot patrols and access control
Observe and report any incidents to Security Supervisor for follow up with client
Enforce safety procedures and standards
Escort and assist anyone as needed
Enforce site Policy
De-escalate irate patients
Escort to Hospital employees to the parking lot
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Hamilton
A valid security guard license and first aid card
Have a clear criminal background
Knowledge of basic land navigation, cardinal directions; good spatial awareness
Be eligible to work in Canada
Ability to pass Use of Force training
