MatchBox Consulting Group are currently seeking an Intermediate Technology Systems Designer on behalf of our client, an engineering consulting firm that specializes in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for complex building projects across healthcare, commercial, institutional, and residential sectors in Vancouver.
Responsibilities :
- Independently create concept designs and design specifications, regularly assessing constructability.
- Produce documentation and drawings from conceptual ideas.
- Apply tools and methodologies effectively for product and service delivery.
- Ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables.
- Be accountable for all designs through to construction completion.
- Manage and prioritize project activities to meet deadlines for all assigned tasks.
- Peer review work of more junior designers for conventional projects.
- Liaise with clients to determine design requirements and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate timesheets, logs, and files.
- Work independently with general supervision to solve difficult problems.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of engineering consulting experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Forward-thinking and eager to learn best practices, contributing with innovative ideas.
- Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Good accuracy and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in various teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
- Passionate about applying digital technology in complex facilities and the built environment.
