Position : Technical Assistant, Insurance Location : Downtown Toronto - Hybrid (4 times per week on-site)Salary : up to $53,000Job Type : PermanentOur client a boutique insurance brokerage is seeking a Technical Assistant to support the Commercial Construction team in providing attentive and effective client service, reinforcing and developing client / broker relationships.
This role requires some previous insurance experience. Responsibilities : - Issue certificates of insurance and submit to insurers and clients.
- Issue automobile liability cards and distribute as directed.- Confirm auto insurance for new vehicles with dealerships and submit to insurers.
- Send second requests and follow up with insurers on outstanding endorsements.- Review endorsements for discrepancies, consulting with practice specialists as needed, and request re-issuance for incorrect documents.
- Respond to Lienholder / Lessor / Mortgagee requests for insurance copies.Qualifications : - RIBO license is a nice to have- Previous insurance experience is needed- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and underwriting processes is an asset.This position offers an excellent entry point into the commercial insurance industry, with opportunities for growth and development.
