Responsibilities
- Organizing day to day operations and handle all request for over the road shipments (full truck load, LTL, oversized, etc)
- Find the best carriers for the customers and controlling the carriers costs
- Carrier relations and to negotiate rates and confirm details of each shipment
- Support with custom clearances
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients and transporters
- Be able to handle several projects at the same time including track and trace
- Follow a shipment from beginning to end and ensure all paperwork is processed properly
- Guide and lead the dispatch team, ensure department goals and targets are being met, analyzing KPIs and reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 year in logistics ground operations, preferable from 3PL or Brokerage environment
- Have good relationships with transport companies and exceptional customer service skills
- Strong understanding of FTL, LTL, oversized, overweight shipments
- Good geographical skills of North America
- Detail oriented and possess excellent organization skills with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Bilingualism is a must
