TheJilly Box has an exciting opportunity fora temporaryfulltime Product Specialist(18months) tojointheir KelownaBC basedteam.
Asthe successful candidate you will be required to work out of theirKelowna office a minimum of 1 day a week; the remainder of the weekyou can work from your home office.
Reporting to the ProcurementManager you will support the product sourcing process with yourstrong communication and organizational skills to build on thesuccess of The Jilly Box brand with a focus on small North Americanecofriendly sustainable culturally diverse and crueltyfree brands!This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a strongunderstanding of procurement in the product space.
Relocation is required if you don t currently live withincommuting distance of their Kelowna BCoffice.
Whatyou will bedoing :
- Supportthe product sourcing process across allcategories;
- Communicateand resolve sample and bulk QC issues withsuppliers;
- Flagsample QC issues to thewarehouse;
- Confirmand share product details and pricing for internal use throughoutalldepartments;
- Assistwith product education to various departments each season to ensurethey are informed about upcomingproducts;
- Ensurepackaging is wellthought out to align with our values and wastereduction;
- Leadsupplier communications regarding product customization samplingprocess management and productiontimelines;
- Maintaina high standard of product integrity throughout the procurementprocess;
- Createspec sheets for productspackaging;
- Maintaininternal size measurement references forapparel;
- Ensureaccuracy of all Product details / inserts for instructionaluse;
- Liaisewith graphic designer to ensure product packaging design andproduct design deadlines aremet;
- Measureapparel items to check if it matches supplier sizespecs;
- Ensuresamples are ready for photoshoots and in theoffice;
- Takeownership of all products at sizedshoots;
- Actas key member onset for sizedphotoshoots;
- Organizeand order photoshootsamples;
- Liaisewith suppliers to understand details of the development process foreach product and inform the product team of suchlearnings.
Whatyoubring :
- Ideallyyou have 3 years of experience in a procurement product developmentspace within the direct to consumer retail merchandising orsubscription boxspace;
- Experienceworking with various ecommerce platforms andvendors;
- Technicaldevelopment experience is anasset;
- Experiencewith Fit Model Process / Tryons is anasset;
- Aneye for detail and a high standard forquality;
- Experiencewith GoogleWorkspace;
- Dedicatedto learning applying championing and communicating The Jilly Box scorevalues;
- Thoroughknowledge and proven experience in productdevelopment;
- Experienceestablishing and sustaining collaborative working relationships andpartnerships with variousstakeholders;
- Workeffectively independently and as part of ateam;
- Arecomfortable with tightdeadlines;
- Strongproblemsolvingabilities.
Thisexcitingfulltime 18monthcontract roleoffers a salary of $60000$65000 / year based on experience.
